After a MetroBus driver was shot and critically wounded Friday night, Bi-State Development officials have announced increased security measures on buses.
Major Case Squad is investigating the incident. The bus was on Lucas & Hunt when it crashed into a utility pole on Normandy Place, just south of Natural Bridge.
More than 8,000 students at 34 Lutheran schools in the St. Louis area celebrated
National Lutheran Schools Week, Jan. 24-30, 2021. The schools, members of the St. Louis-based Lutheran Elementary School Association, will mark the week with service projects, special activities, tours and open house events. Several schools will also celebrate their 100th day of school during the week.
The theme of this year’s celebration is
Sent to Serve, based on Matthew 20:28: “The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
In the St. Louis area, several schools will host in-person tours or open houses at their respective campuses.

Riverdale fans have been waiting since early last year for the teen drama's return to The CW and Netflix. Thankfully, the wait is over and the Core Four is back for more romances and unsolved mysteries. KJ Apa brought the classic comic book character Archie Andrews to life when he joined the cast of Riverdale in 2017. From surviving prison and the Gargoyle King, to his dad's death and fighting off a bear in the woods, Archie has been through more than his fair share of drama. However, fans will still most likely describe him as the ginger character in the Netflix series.
