Spring training has wrapped up at Florida s ballparks and managers of at least one of them say this year was a complete success, despite things being different due to the pandemic.
The Houston Astros and Washington Nationals have left the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches to gear up for Major League Baseball s Opening Day on Thursday, but ballpark management says all games for both teams sold out.
Capacity was reduced from about 8,000 to 1,600, but managers expect next year to be back to normal.
They say everyone complied with social distancing guidelines and the mask order. No games had to be canceled as players stayed safe, as well as the fans.
