Inmate Who Walked Away From Los Angeles Reentry Program Facility Sought

By City News Service Feb 6, 2021 LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A 28-year-old convicted burglar who walked away from a Male Community Reentry Program facility in Los Angeles was being sought by authorities this morning.   About 7:30 p.m. Friday, officials determined Miguel A. Chacon had left without authorization and agents from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation s Office of Correctional Safety were dispatched to locate and apprehend him.   Chacon is Hispanic, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 198 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.   Chacon was received by CDCR from Los Angeles County on Dec. 29, 2015 to serve nine years for first-degree burglary, a second strike, with an enhancement for prior felony conviction of a serious offense. He was transferred to the MCRP on Nov. 12 and was scheduled to be released to parole in November.
