Police identify homicide victim in Northern Michigan, female suspect in custody

NORMAN TOWNSHIP, MI – Police have identified a 56-year-old suspected homicide victim in Northern Michigan.
William Joseph Johnson of Wellston was found dead in his home in Manistee County’s Norman Township. Troopers from the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post are investigating the incident as a homicide.
A 40-year-old woman from Cadillac has been arrested and is lodged in the Manistee County Jail, police said. There is no danger to the public.
The MSP Grayling Crime Lab is on scene and the medical examiner is on the way to determine the cause and time of death.
