As the crisis in the Labour Party continues to fester, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has written to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the National Legal Adviser of the Labour Party to desist from validating the "illegal Labour Party National Convention" scheduled for March 27, 2024.

  Human rights activist and convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore, has said that though the Nigerian government has discontinued its case of alleged treason against him, the battles to liberate Nigeria from bad governance, corruption and poverty are “still plentiful”. Sowore, a former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC) in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Friday, said that it was not yet time to declare victory.
