Milford cannabis company Sira Naturals has been fined $17,819 for violations related to air emissions, as well as the storage of hazardous waste and industrial wastewater at its cultivation facility at 13 Commercial Way, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection announced on Thursday.
MassDEP said it found the problems during a compliance inspection in February of last year. Sira has already addressed the violations.
Per MassDEP, Sira was operating its Milford facility without an air quality permit for its emissions of volatile organic compounds, and it had not filed a certification for an emergency power diesel engine on-site.
