French actor and singer Guy Marchand has died at the age of 86. Famous for having played the detective Nestor Burma on television from 1991 to 2003. Born in Paris in 1937, the actor spent the last years of his life in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. His big hit was La Passionata, written in five minutes after returning from the Algerian war.
