isn t this part of the problem, that if you are in northern ireland right now and you haven t effectively had a functioning government for however long and now the prospect of a functioning government is receding, and what is the problem with that is the northern ireland protocol? doesn t it come to the point that just to get the basic public services back on track in northern ireland, that the eu is going to have to make some concessions on this as well? well, the eu has shown enormous flexibility, i but quite frankly, i don t think we ve been given the chance i to demonstrate that. i make that case with the medicines issue, which unionist politicians - were rightly pointing out last year was an issue it has been solved. there is an opportunity there to solve the real| issues for them which, - i have to say, don t include the issue of the ec], - which unionist politicians themselves have said to me, - but do include issues like customs declarations and some issues around plants and
