this morning causing hundreds of people to run for covering. the shooting appeared after midnight inside the ballroom on broadway. police say most of the victims were hit in the arms and legs. none of the injuries were life-threatening and many were expected to be released today after treatment. no one has been arrested yet, but it s believed to be the largest number of shooting victims in oakland at one time in recent memory. we are still trying to investigate how this started, who is all involved. investigators say most of the victims were hit by stray bullets, and they believe a man wounded in the back was the target. bart closed three stations after police found a suspicious device in a car near a station. it all started at 8:30 this morning when police pulled the driver over for a traffic violation about 20 yards from the bart track. in the trunk of his car they found a shoe box covered in duct tape with wires and an old cellphone attached to it. the area was evacu
day. a election day. a new poll shows a dramatic change of fortune for proposition 19. less than a month ago, the measure that would decriminalize marijuana was leading now it s trailing. don knapp is in oakland to explain the turn around in attitude. reporter: the polls may not look good for prop 19 but the folks here say who would tell a pollster how they feel about legalizing marijuana. they have been working the phones today trying to get the measure past. prop 19 supporters make a final push to legalize nonmedical marijuana use for adults in california. those opposed to the proposition appear to be leading those who favor it. they are coming to judgment in the final stages. they were together with the idea of approving this. it sounded like a good idea. it would raise money for the state. the state certainly needs the money. but with the feds coming out saying they will vigorously enforce the law would mean that the growers would be in jeopardy. reporter: prop 19
