Bexar County leaders said they have many questions about utility outages and local preparedness for a major winter storm, but right now they’re just trying to meet residents’ most critical needs.
Aside from a temporary refuge downtown at the city’s Convention Center and a 50-cot warming shelter at the Judson High School Gymnasium in Converse, the county has set up a site at the Fire Marshal’s office on the South Side that can hold at least 20 people.
