Implementation frameworks are used to anticipate how frontline actors and/or communities may implement research findings in their daily practice. Implementation frameworks allow one to conceive the implementation process in an abstract way and possibly ahead of time. They may therefore contribute to shape whose voices are taken into account, and how new knowledge and resources are expected to be distributed. In settings where power imbalances are known, implementing research recommendations is complex practically and ethically.
