With the 2021 NBA regular season concluding on Sunday, May 16, sportsbooks released their most up-to-date odds for this year’s postseason.
The State Farm NBA Play-in Tournament begins on Tuesday, May 18 as the 7–10 seeds in the Eastern and Western conferences face off for the final two remaining playoff spots. The Nos. 9 and 10 seeds must win out in order to advance to the postseason. If the No. 7 or 8 seed loses its first-round matchup, that team plays the winner of the No. 9 vs. No. 10 game for the last remaining spot in the postseason.

Can the Utah Jazz keep up their record-setting pace?
Heading into their first action of the second half on Friday, Utah is 27-9 overall on the season, including a terrific 25-11-0 (69.4%) against the spread. From January 8 through the middle of February, they were literally the best team in the last 31 years against the spread going 20-1-0 ATS.

Taco Tuesday brings us a nine-game NBA slate, and we are starting to see a bit of fatigue set in with some of the teams around the league. Since the Cavaliers' back-to-back wins over the Nets, they have gone 2–14 and are on a 10-game losing streak. They've also gone 0–12 against the spread (ATS). Yikes.
The Pistons and Magic are playing tonight, and while the total is currently 210, one of these teams will not get to 100 points.
Additionally, the Knicks host the Warriors tonight in the world's most famous arena, and for the first time this season Madison Square Garden will allow fans in the building. It will be interesting to see how the New York fans will take to this team. Tonight could be electric.

The Lakers are in Oklahoma City tonight for their third straight road game. So far, they are 3-0 on this road trip. Anthony Davis could miss the game tonight. The Thunder are in a rebuilding season, but they have been tough. They show up and don't back down every night. The Thunder do not have any home wins this season, and they are only 1-3 ATS at home. It's tough to back them on a night when the Lakers come to town, but that's exactly what I'm doing. I don't think the Thunder will win the game, but they will keep it close and cover the number on a night when the books will need them.
