The NSE Nifty50 index settled 1.19% higher at 19,675, while the S&P BSE Sensex rose 1.14% to 65,675. The Nifty50 logged its best single-day gain since March 31 and closed at the highest level since October 18.
The NSE Nifty 50 index settled 0.42% lower at 19,443, while the S&P BSE Sensex fell 0.50% to 64,933 on Monday. That was after they rose about 0.5% each to three-week highs in the special one-hour muhurat trading session on Sunday.
Nifty on Thursday ended 48 points lower on the weekly expiry day to form a red candle on the daily chart. The smaller degree of higher tops and bottoms is intact on the daily chart and the recent unfilled opening upside gap around 19250 levels could offer support for the market during present consolidation to form a higher bottom, said Nagaraj Shetti of HDFC Securities.
Nifty on Tuesday ended 5 points lower to form a Doji candle on the daily chart. The larger degree of lower tops and bottoms is intact as per daily timeframe chart and currently, Nifty is moving up towards the new lower top formation of the sequence, analysts say.
