LAS VEGAS, Nevada (HawaiiNewsNow) - Many casinos in Las Vegas are moving to 100% capacity and dropping their mask mandates for fully vaccinated people, following new guidance from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.
The state of Nevada followed the CDCâs new guidance from last week, saying masks are not required outdoors and for most indoor locations for fully vaccinated people.
Businesses, however, can still make face coverings mandatory. In Las Vegas, some casinos wonât require masks for vaccinated people.

The proposal to build on casino on Department of Hawaiian Homelands land in Kapolei took a step forward after the Hawaiian Homes Commission voted to approve the idea in 5-4 vote last week.
It’s far from a done deal – it would still have to get approval from state, the idea is also raising eyebrows in Las Vegas, which relies heavily on visitors from Hawaii who want to gamble.
Nicknamed the ‘Ninth Island.’ thousands of Hawaii visitors come to Vegas each year, and Hawaii and Utah are the only two states where all forms of gambling are illegal.

Acknowledged as the first to add the phrase “poke bowl” to a casual-dining menu, Paina Cafe expanded from Honolulu to the Ninth Island four years ago and started work on joining a rapidly growing restaurant hub in the southwest.
Also known as Pā´ina Café, from the Hawaiian word for a “gathering” of friends and family, the original counter-service space at Spring Mountain Road’s Korea Town Plaza has earned a very loyal following for its create-you-own poke bowls, plate lunches, value dining, and a breakout hit of mochi doughnut desserts.
