Next in legacy lecture today. Mr. Hess began his career in the Eisenhower Administration as a speechwriter and he joined president s nixon for his 1962 california gubernatorial bid. He returned to the white house in 1969 as the chief of staff to Daniel Patrick moynihan. They were in on the couple because moynihan was the urban Affairs Adviser democrats coupled with president nixon obviously republican. But the two are very loyal friends and made the relationship work began to mr. Hess knew both of these. Hes one of the few people that can say that he was Close Friends with both of these men.
