was killed today right in front of the main entrance to city hall. the 67-year-old woman was in a crosswalk when she was hit by a cable car style tour bus. the vehicle then ran over her as she lay on the ground. the woman was taken to san francisco general hospital where sadly she later died. the mayor says the city recently approved installing a traffic light at the crosswalk because of pedestrian safety concerns. city hall is becoming more and more famous. a lot of people were coming in, and whether it s a sightseeing bus or tourist bus, we didn t want that, we wanted to lessen the chances of colliding. it didn t happen fast enough. the victim was a longtime employee of the controller s office. a woman leading a sight-seeing tour through san francisco s chinatown gave tourists a lot more than they bargained for. and now her racist rant is generating reaction that is reverberating all the way to city hall. abc 7 news reporter alisa harrington is live tonight in chinato
