In this Zevely Zone, I went to Carmel Mountain where Ralph Rubio and celebrity Chef Richard Blais are launching a new taste in tacos.  "Ah, there they are. Allow me allow me," said Rubio's co-founder Ralph Rubio as a delicious-looking plate of street tacos appeared.  Rubio’s Coastal Grill and television personality, restaurateur and cookbook author, Richard Blais, are taking eaters on a culinary adventure with the launch of a new line of innovative street tacos.

Subway, Rubio's launching new seafood options By Share Rubio's Coastal Grill and Subway are launching new seafood products this spring: Rubio’s Coastal Grill is debuting a new street taco featuring shrimp, while Subway is touting its new Tuna Melt. Subway’s new Fresh Melts, which feature protein and triple cheese, include a Tuna Melt made from 100 percent wild-caught tuna with mayo, fresh onion, and provolone cheese. The Fresh Melts, however, have faced controversy since they were introduced less than a week ago. Subway’s franchise association said they cannot recommend Fresh Melts, because they present a safety hazard, per Penn Live.

Rubio’s Coastal Grill Receives Court Approval of Joint Prepackaged Plan of Reorganization December 22, 2020 · · Rubio’s Restaurants, Inc., a fast casual restaurant chain specializing in coastal Mexican food, best known for its award-winning Original Fish Taco, announced that the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware has confirmed its Second Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization. This important milestone means that Rubio’s will emerge from the Chapter 11 process with a strengthened capital structure, improved financial stability and enhanced liquidity to support continued operation of its restaurants. The company is scheduled to complete its financial restructuring by the end of the year, as expected.
