Spar retailer wins £10,000 in Site. Stock. Sell draw Print

Welsh retailer Matthew Jones has won £10,000 in the latest quarterly draw run by Camelot for stores selling lottery tickets.
Jones, who runs the Spar in Caersws (cor), Powys, said that he was shocked to win, partly because he did not realise that he had been entered.
He added: “I was speechless when I first heard the news, and would like to thank Camelot – it means a great deal to my family and me.
“After a tough 12 months with the store being extremely busy, we’ve not had much family time – so this means we’ll be able to have a lot more time together and some great holidays away.”

The newsagent has kept the same hours during the pandemic, operating deliveries for anyone who can’t make it into the shop due to self isolation. “We’re delivering over 1000 now some are just a TV magazine or a Times & Star we’re not reducing our times, we’re keeping our hours as they are. They have continued to serve during the pandemic although the second lockdown was particularly difficult.
