Wellington Paranormal unit return our screens for a third season of investigations and hijinks on Wednesday evening (8.30pm, TVNZ2 and then at TVNZ OnDemand). Every day, Katie Delp surrounds herself with puppies. Sheâs created her dream job training dogs at Pandemic Puppy School, a wellness program she launched last year.
As an avid dog foster parent, Delp noticed many puppies born during the COVID-19 pandemic are more afraid of new people, loud noises and other dogs â and experience intensified separation anxiety when left at home alone.
âA lot of people are seeking comfort from these animals,â Delp explained, calling the influx sheâs noticed a âdog boom.â
In 2020, residents registered 1,199 dogs and, according to a city report regarding dog recreation in South Burlington, dog registration in the city has increased 29 percent between 2011 and 2019.

UK-based producer/distributor Beyond Rights has made a strong start to 2021, licensing 250 hours of content in major volume deals with AMC Networks in Spain and SIC in Portugal.
The former deal sees the Spanish arm of the global network AMC Networks acquire 98 hours for its Odisea channel, with the package featuring a range of engineering titles (24 hours), including World’s Most Extreme (6 x 60’- pictured), an Arrow Media production exploring engineering and transportation in extreme locations. The deal also includes Greenstone TV’s Puppy School (10 x 30’) and six seasons (69 hours) of Bondi Rescue.
Across the border, Portugal’s SIC has licensed 152 hours of unscripted content, including the Australian version of Beyond’s competitive dog grooming show Pooch Perfect (8 x 60’), Gobstopper TV’s Filthy House SOS (6 x 60’) and multiple seasons of Big Coat Productions’s original Love It Or List It (90 hours) as well as 34 hours from the wider Love It Or List It franchise.

Hannah Molloy has personally trained more than 10,000 dogs over the last 10 years
The new Just for Pets store opened at East Bridgford Garden Centre last month and has received a hugely positive response.
Indeed, Hannah Molloy - host of Channel 4's Puppy School programme - was so impressed she's "fallen in love" with the store and is even training the team!
"There are pet shops and then there's Just for Pets," said Hannah, who has personally trained more than 10,000 dogs over the past 10 years. "I'm sorry Marks & Spencer, but this is not just a pet shop.
