The Qatari Forum for Authors organised a panel discussion titled 'Islamic Civilisation and Architecture', presented by researcher and plastic artist Mohamed Ali Abel, as part of the activities of Doha, Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021 initiative. Doha: The Qatari Forum for Authors have launched a set of publications covering various aspects of culture and knowledge.
The new publications were launched at Bait Al Hikma (House of Wisdom) of the Ministry of Culture and Sports. This year’s editions exceed 160 diversified publications, covering various fields.
Among the launched books was Social Responsibility and its Role in the Development and Stability of Societies by Dr. Hala Al Saeed, an autism consultant and director of the Doha International Center for Special needs, QNA reported.
During the inauguration session moderated by Maryam Yassin Al Hammadi, Director General of the Forum, Dr. Hala Al Saeed said, “I designed a special curriculum for special needs entitled (Social Responsibility), along with many initiatives in social responsibility, where I was selected among the 100 most influential Arab personalities in this field for two years in a row 2019-2020.”

Doha: Qatari Forum for Authors discussed, within the “Mind Dialogue.. Youth Debates” initiative, which is part of the activities of “Doha, the Capital of Culture in the Islamic World 2021”, the topic of Qatari publishing houses between making profit and contributing to the promotion of culture and the enrichment of knowledge.
The initiative, which is broadcast on YouTube, aims at enhancing the role of young authors and encouraging freedom of opinion, criticism and respect for other opinion, through competitive seminars that discuss a range of intellectual and cultural issues, in the form of debate. The first team was led by writer Issa Abdullah, along with writers Omar Al Meer and Mohammed Al Marri.
