Gombe State Governor, Inuwa Yahaya has lamented the rising cases of insecurity in the country characterized by kidnappings, cattle rustling, banditry and insurgency which he described as threats to peaceful coexistence and harmony among the citizenry, saying therefore that only prayers for nation’s stability are what Nigeria requires at the moment.
The Governor expressed the lamentation in a remark during a Ramadan Tafsir session he attended at the Juma’at Mosque of the Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Gombe conducted by Sheikh Adamu Muhammad Dokoro.
The Governor also urged youths in the state to complement the government’s effort by ensuring proper utilisation of various empowerment programmes and interventions for their benefit and that of the society.
Pantami disclosed this on Tuesday while delivering his Ramadan Tafsir at Al-noor mosque Wuse II in Abuja.

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, says he is having sleepless nights over the country’s situations.
Pantami disclosed this on Tuesday while delivering his Ramadan Tafsir at Al-noor mosque Wuse II in Abuja.

He said for the country to have peace and stability, everyone must correct his wrongdoing from top to the bottom.

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has called on those clamouring for the disintegration of Nigeria to let go of the idea.
Tinubu spoke at the Special Ramadan Tafsir at the Lagos House in Marina on Sunday.
In his goodwill speech, the former governor called for togetherness, pointing to the ravaging effects of war in Iraq and Sudan which he said must not be experienced in Nigeria.
He said, “God will not allow Nigeria to experience war. If we say Nigeria should separate, people should remember what war caused in Sudan and Iraq. Such war does not end in time. We are yet to recover from the civil war.

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged the Zongo community to be inspired by Tafsir, one of the oldest methods of teaching and learning, to prioritise education in the Zongos.
The Tafsir is the process of breaking down and interpreting complex texts of the Holy Quran for clear understanding, and this method of teaching and learning has existed since the advent of Islam.
The Vice President attended one of such events over the weekend when he joined the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu for the closing session of the Chief Imam s annual Ramadan Tafsir.
