So if you have a rental car company with a fleet over 35 vehicles, it is starting in june going to be a federal crime to rent out a car with an open safety recall. But taxicabs, limousines are regulated at the local level. I dont think they even check when they do the annual inspections to see whether the safety recall work has been done.
