For months, various Arizona communities have been dealing with fallout surrounding incidents of teen violence, some of which have led to deaths. Here's a look at the incidents, as well as arrests that have been made, and what officials are doing to prevent more incidents in the future.
"Innocent victims that have been attacked have kind of just come forward, and it just raised awareness," said the victim's mother. "I think it may have put pressure on the police department to take initiative and reopen these cases that, quite frankly, should never have been closed."
The proposal is being advanced by three members of the Gilbert Town Council, as concerns mount over the issue of teen violence in the East Valley community.
