A farmer has admitted organising the illegal felling of trees shortly before he was jailed for another environmental offence.

The Environment Agency described Price's previous offence as the worst riverside destruction.

John Price, 69, organised for the trees to be cut down in Brimfield, Herefordshire, just over a year after he used a 18-tonne digger to decimate one of Britains rivers.

A long lost painting by Britains beloved artist J.M.W. Turner has been found in a dusty attic on the Powys border and could sell for £50,000.

The Environment Agency and Natural England said the damage by millionaire John Price was one of the worst cases of riverside destruction they had seen

Experts said they were "pretty surprised" to find the painting at the Herefordshire country estate.
