hurricane schwartz. the rain is tapering off. we re starting to see some breaks. right now there s a band coming through the philadelphia area. right now there s some on the heavy side near the pennsylvania turnpike heading to the north and there s a lot more along the way. you see this band offshore. that s moving up and is likely to come through during the night. in some places we ve had an awful lot of rain. this is in suffolk county, delaware. farther to the north, get, another couple of inches in some areas. look at this. bayville, 3.6 inches of rain. get the rain on top of the coastal flooding and it makes it worse. plus the wind. right now, 40 miles an hour in atlantic city. and the predicted wind gusts continue to be quite strong. even today, tomorrow, it s going to be gusting to 50 at the shore and 30 and 40 miles an hour inland. so it s going to be a very gusty day. there is the rain. some of it moving through. so we re tapering off from a steady rain to showers

we are watching the rain and flooding down the shore. let s start this morning with first alert meteorologist brittney shipp. it s rainy, cold, and blustery. staying that way throughout the weekend. temperatures, again, in the mid-50s, well below average which is in the low 70s this time of year, and we are tracking the rain. we ll get you right to the radar. that is the wrong computer. switch it over to mine for the radar shot where we are going to see more rainfall moving in this morning. we expect temperatures to stay down below average, and it s going to be very windy today. our temperatures are going to range between 54 and 57. winds gusting up to 50 miles per hour. here s a closer look at rain moving in parts of cape may and dover. current temperatures at 51 in philadelphia, 47 in allentown, a chilly start in the morning. poconos at 51, and look at gusts along the shoreline, gusting up to 42 miles per hour, and i ll have more details on what to expect, how long winds

hours, but closer look at the current temperatures, it s cooler in the poconos and the valley, starting off in the 40s. 41 in wilmington and philadelphia, 56 in melville, and 59 in atlantic city, and temperatures in wildwood at 61 degrees. a closer look, it s going to show that light rain moving in, still, thinning out, but still consistent with today and we ll continue see the on and off light rain showers into the rest of the saturday. on top of that, we have to factor in the winds gusting up to 33 miles per hour in atlantic city, 36 in wildwood, and 30 miles per hour in georgetown. you ll notice that wind direction was out of the northeast. we ll see sustained wind from the northeast for philadelphia around 22 miles per hour, and the wind direction is important because that s helping to push more water onshore, so we are going to continue with with that coastal flood warning as we go into the rest of today. the temperatures will stay between 54-57, and you ll notice the co
