Panther Bay Recreation Area and Campground will open May 1, according to a representative from the US Army Corp of Engineers.
According to Roger Howell, natural resources specialist, the campsites are available for reservation now through the website.
The pavilion will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
A recording on the Corp s phone line states that all campsites are 100 percent reservable and instructs visitors not to use a campsite they have not reserved.
Panther Bay provides boating access to the central part of Norfork Lake. According to the website it also offers 15 campsites with electricity, restroom with showers, vault toilet, drinking water, sanitary dump station, two launch ramps, swim beach, picnic shelter, playground, picnic sites, hiking trail, and marina.
