© GIBIATE PROJECT Production Committee The summer 2020 anime series Gibiate seems to be a bit of an odd duck in how it’s getting released. The show is coming as a self-distributed piece by the production committee itself where it was previously set for a December 25th, 2020 debut. That… didn’t happen. The official site has now updated to reveal that the series has been pushed back to a March 31st, 2021 release date. The update reveals that the delay is due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has slowed down production overall on the project. It’s priced at 35,000 yen for the twelve-episode run where it’s done across two Blu-ray discs and coming with an original cover illustration and a hard storage box for it. It looks like it’s being done as a kickstarter of sorts in that the number of orders they get will determine the extras beyond the base set:
