Members of the Persatuan Penduduk Apartment Lok Kawi Heights held a peaceful gathering on Saturday to demand that the apartment’s management address many problems they are currently facing.
Its Chairman Farid Wong claimed that despite frequent complaints, the management seemed to pay no attention to their plight.
“We are worried about our safety,” he said, pointing to lack of security personnel manning the guard huts. Additionally, there are stray dogs that bark and chase neighbourhood children and residents. These strays also attacked cats.
“We also have monkeys invading our apartment complex; they enter our homes from somewhere in the forest, ruin our flower pots, and take our food via the windows. When will this stop? Farid claimed a request to the management for a meeting to address the problems was also ignored.
“The management’s sole explanation is that they are not in the office,” he said.
