Appealing for urgent support, UN agencies and partners say 2021 risks becoming more difficult than ever for Syrian refugees and their hosts Format Amman - Almost ten years after the beginning of the Syria conflict, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organisations have warned that the situation of Syrian refugees and their host communities is becoming increasingly critical. The warning came on Thursday at a virtual briefing to launch the 2021 Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan (3RP) for the Syrian crisis - a USD 5.8 billion plan designed to support national efforts to deal with the impact of the refugee crisis in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and Iraq.

TRIPOLI A significant proportion of Libya’s population do not have access to good quality healthcare, most especially those who live in rural areas. In an attempt to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus authorities have been forced to impose strict movement restrictions on their constituents. This has prevented people from traveling to clinics, hospitals, and healthcare centers (mostly located in urban areas) in search of suitable healthcare facilities.
