Michigan’s softball team is rolling through the Big Ten this season.
The 19th-ranked Wolverines grabbed an early lead against Penn State on Sunday and held on for a 5-3 win, completing a four-game sweep in University Park, Pennsylvania.
Michigan (28-5) has won seven in a row to pad its lead in the conference standings. Minnesota is in second place at 25-7, followed by Northwestern at 24-12. The Big Ten is playing a conference-only schedule in 2021.

It was another impressive week of lacrosse throughout the
Division II landscape, while UIndy and Lindenwood both came away with wins to
assert their dominance as the teams to beat in the Midwest.
Some great news came from the PSAC & Northeast-10 last
week, as both conferences announced their plans for lacrosse this spring. The
ECC had previously announced its schedule and no. 14 Mercy will open its season
on March 10 against St. Thomas Aquinas.
According to the PSAC
press release, conference regular season games will begin on March 13 and
the regular season will conclude on April 28. No. 5 West Chester opens its
