krysten sinema, her work on sb 1070, resisting that, a lot of what people know about her. but in the state there is a woman who holds executive office, there is jan brewer in the state. how does an organize like emily's list balance that idea of sort of policies and positions that are good for women on the one hand and simply electing more women to office. >> well, emily's list is completely focused on electing great women like kristen, who we are so proud to support. hello, krysten. >> hi, stephanie. >> we support pro choice democratic women, because we really believe those democratic women when they get into congress, senate, legislatures, they will move policies forward that drive a progressive agenda for our families and our community and we just disagree with the republican party right now. they have been waging this war on women for the last two years now. we have got to make sure that
good to live in a country where i can point to supreme court justices and predict the vote in every case. >> at that point, the court is not doing what it's supposed to. here is my nervousness, we have the sb 1070 decision earlier in the week. upholding power for the government and we have this decision, which, you know, certainly challenges the role of the federal government in some ways, but basically upholds the power of the federal government. here is my terror, part of the reason roberts is joining in this is not to be roger tanny who decided the dred scott decision and gone down in infamy in supreme court history, but so that when doma, the defense of marriage act shows up, he can rule reasonably that the federal government hasรง a right to wip out the states's rights to allow people to marry and/or the ability to wipe out roe vs.

unnecessary and unprecedented. >> but does the obama administration's claim of executive privilege hold up. >> dang, you are fat. you're so fat. you take up the whole dang seat. >> laura: liberal columnists compares bullies on the bus to some prominent republicans. what? we'll debate it. >> laura: caution, you are about to enter the no spin zone. the factor begins right now. >> laura: hi, everyone. i'm laura ingraham in for bill o'reilly. thanks for watching us tonight. a huge ruling today handed down by the justices on sb 1070. arizona's immigration enforcement law. that is the subject of this eeps' talking points memo. already president obama and governor romney are using it to stoke up their bases, no surprise there. now, to recap, the law had four main components.

senator hatch does face that primary in his own party tomorrow. he's favored to win, but had he stayed with his old position on the issue of immigration, he would likely be in much more trouble in this primary than he is because right now, it's republican party orthodoxy that being willing to do anything constructive on the subject at all is essentially a mortal political sin. mitt romney is often stylistically credited with seeming like a moderate republican, but he has plated his trough and it's not with the george w. bush side of the story. it's not with the guys john mccain and orrin hatch used to be. before they got afraid and changed their minds. mitt romney has both feet firmly planted on the super anti-immigrant side of this fight within the republican party. remember, he picked as his immigration adviser the guy who wrote the papers please law in arizona. mitt romney called that law a model for the nation. the supreme court ruling on that case today on arizona's sb 1070 is described in the beltway press as like a mixed ball or a compromise ruling.
