For several days , firefighters fought with dry grass fires, trying to protect residential buildings. Only two buildings burned down, one of them was a house on the outskirts. Developing this morning, a major power outage brought the worlds Busiest Airport to a standstill. You can literally hear the cheers the moments the lights came back on at atlantas Hartsfield Jackson airport. The power outage came at the start of the busy travel season. Passengers were stuck in the dark for 11 hours. One person described it as pandemonium. You can hear it there. People literally had to yell to find each other because they couldnt see. Georgia power says a fire in an underground electrical facility may have caused the outage. Over the next few days, its likely to impact your Holiday Travel plans no matter where youre flying.
