nelli, saying today that ceuch nelli, saying that police may legally ask about the immigration status of a suspect they are questioning, somebody they have legally stopped, a 2008 law requires police to check the immigration status of anyone taken into custody on suspicion of committing a separate crime, but this says if an opinion actually written by the attorney general, cuchinelli last week, that the virginia law enforcement officers may inquire into the immigration status not just when someone is taken into custody but when they have been legally stopped, it s akin to the arizona law essentially or that portion of the arizona law that was upheld by judge bolton last week. well, this will not sit well with the white house. which has been trying to tamper down these state laws on immigration. we will have more on that developing story as the show progresses. in another fox news alert this, one from virginia, score a victory for the folks trying to challenge the federal
