A total of 2,441 residents in Brevard have been hospitalized since the pandemic began.
On Wednesday, Brevard had 43 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in its seven major hospitals, according to the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration, up one since Tuesday.
Of a total capacity of 1,310 staffed hospital beds, 21% (315) were available in those hospitals Tuesday. Of the 159 total adult ICU bed capacity, 24% (24) were available.
Of 1,128 residents tested in Brevard on Wednesday, 1,078 tested negative for a daily positivity rate of 4.43%
At least 418 Brevard deaths were residents or staff of long-term care facilities, such as nursing homes.

The DOH added 2,327 new cases to Florida s statewide total Wednesday, pushing the number of cumulative cases to 2,316,142 since the beginning of the pandemic. Of those, 2,272,898 were Florida residents and 43,244 were not.
