Flood alerts have been issued for parts of Nottinghamshire as river levels rise.
According to the Government s flood alert website, levels are high at Lowdham Grange, Bulwell, Shipley Gate and Pinxton river gauges as a result of persistent heavy rainfall.
A flood alert means flooding is possible and residents are advised to be prepared.
At this stage, the flooding of properties is not being predicted.
As of just before 3pm on December 23, the alert for Lowdham states: Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads around the tributaries of the River Trent in Nottinghamshire, the River Greet, Potwell Dyke, Dover Beck, Cocker Beck, Thurgarton Beck and others.
