The percent of St. Johns County residents fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is over 43% in Sunday s report, according to data from the Florida Department of Health.
A total of 101,936 residents, or 43.28%, have completed all doses of the vaccine. The county ranks No. 2 in the state. Sumter has the state s best with a fully vaccinated rate of 58.45% (70,718 complete).
The CDC reported 85.2% of St. Johns County residents older than 65 are fully vaccinated.
A total of 122,915 St. Johns County residents, or 52.19%, have received at least one shot of a vaccine. The county added 789 new vaccinated residents.
The county ranks fourth by population percentage for residents partially vaccinated behind Sumter (82,999, 68.59%), Charlotte (101,450, 57.33%) and Sarasota (233,148, 56.57%). Indian River (77,142, 51.09%) is fifth.
Florida added 86,230 fully vaccinated residents to reach 5,884,717. Florida has used 74.59% of the vaccines distributed, ranking 38th in the country.
Getting a vaccine
The final day to receive the first dose of Pfizer vaccine through St. Johns County is Wednesday, April 28 at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center site, 1300 Duval St. Walk-up vaccinations are also available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28.

St. Johns County surpasses 122,000 vaccinated residents, reaches 51.81%
The total number of St. Johns County adults vaccinated against COVID-19 rose by more than 300 to surpass 122,000 residents Saturday, according to data from the Florida Department of Health.
A total of 122,020 St. Johns County residents, or 51.81%, have received at least one shot of a vaccine. The county added 315 new vaccinated residents.
The county ranks fourth by population percentage for residents partially vaccinated behind Sumter (82,666, 68.32%), Charlotte (100,920, 57.03%) and Sarasota (231,514, 56.17%). Indian River (76,259, 50.51%) is fifth.
Another 535 St. Johns County residents became fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on Saturday.
St. Johns County now has a total of 92,920 fully vaccinated residents. With 39.46% of the total population vaccinated, the county is No. 2 in the state. Sumter has a fully vaccinated rate of 57.04% (69,016 complete).
