Please contact organizers to confirm event details.  Congregation B’nai Torah  SUDBURY — Congregation B’nai Torah, 225 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, announced the following:  Open House and Shabbat on the Beach: 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 and 30. B’nai Torah invites the community to our prospective member Open House and Shabbat on the Beach service, at the Wayland Town Beach, 25 Parkland Drive, Wayland. The Open Houses will begin at 6 p.m., followed by Shabbat on the Beach services at 6:30 pm. Bring your beach chairs (or blanket) and a picnic dinner, and enjoy the sunset while we share the beauty of Shabbat together. In case of inclement weather, services will be held via Zoom. Come meet the baby animals at our Enchanted Animal Party Petting Zoo! Kids will get to spend time with cuddly animals including a goat, chickens, a duck, a guinea pig and a rabbit! Meet our warm and engaging clergy and members of the congregation and learn more about B’nai Torah. There is no cost, but advance registration is required by emailing membership@bnaitorah.com.

Neurobiology to the Rescue: 10 a.m. July 25.  Gail Hardenbergh will share her thoughts about, “Out of Tune? Neurobiology to the Rescue!” She’ll explore ways we can help ourselves during highly stressful periods in our lives. Attention All Shtisel Fans: Join Rabbi Eiduson’s Tea Time Talks for a weekly discussion of Shtisel season three! Tea Time Talks will focus on one episode per week and will be held at 3 and 6 p.m. Mondays through May 24, with the exception of April 19.

Celebrate with B’nai Torah as we commemorate the saving of the Jewish people from Haman, during this festive holiday. Lives Still in Limbo, unDACAmented & Navigating Uncertain Futures: 7 p.m. March 5. Roberto G. Gonzales, professor of education at Harvard University and director of the immigration initiative at Harvard will present this program, accessible on Zoom and on B’nai Torah’s Facebook page. The event is part of Refugee Shabbat, a project of Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, as a moment for congregations, organizations and individuals around the world to dedicate a Shabbat experience to refugees and asylum seekers. The evening will begin with a Shabbat service at 7 p.m. followed by Gonzales’ presentation from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m. There is no fee for the program.
