Australians who lose work can get pandemic disaster payments of up to $600 within 40 minutes if they apply online, Scott Morrison said on Wednesday as he urged people to sign up for the cash relief.
The Prime Minister said $219 million worth of support payments have already been paid to 452,395 NSW residents who have been unable to work due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Victoria s fifth Covid-19 lockdown is sheer madness, politically motivated and causing more deaths than the virus , former Liberal premier Jeff Kennett has claimed.
In a column for the Herald Sun, Mr Kennett said the latest lockdown was absolutely unnecessary but imposed to boost Premier Daniel Andrews popularity.
He accused the government of being too scared to manage the virus with contact tracing and instead taking the easy option to lock the state down.
