Fayetteville, N.C. — The No. 7 Terry Sanford Bulldogs emerged victorious over the No. 6 E.E. Smith Golden Bulls by a 51-50 margin in a thrilling top-10 showdown on Tuesday night.
With the win, the Bulldogs locked up the regular season championship in the Patriot Athletic 3A/4A conference.
Amiah Savage hit a runner in the lane with four seconds left to score the decisive bucket for the visiting Bulldogs against her former team.
Savage’s field goal was necessary because the bulldogs let a 49-48 lead slip away when E.E. Smith’s Jada Priebe stole the ball while the Bulldogs were trying to dribble the clock out and scored at the other end to give her team an edge.

Fayetteville, N.C. — Terry Sanford junior Davis Molnar was dominant against Patriot Conference foe South View, scoring 38 points on the night. Molnar is the son of head coach Karl Molnar. Terry Sanford is now 4-0 on the season, with all four of the wins coming in impressive fashion. Previously, Terry Sanford knocked off Westover, which had won 30 straight games going into that contest.
Things weren't too easy for Terry Sanford against South View. The Tigers owned the first quarter and left it with a 22-18 lead. Both teams came out looking to press the other a little bit. South View had a clear speed advantage and welcomed the full court style early on. The Bulldogs eventually came out of it and focussed on playing defense in the half court. South View didn't have as much success after that change was made.
Terry Sanford found itself trailing to South View after a quarter, but the Bulldogs responded with strong play throughout the game to end up winning it by 32 points. Junior Davis Molnar led Terry Sanford with 38 points.
