Another idea would be to write a loved one a letter using calligraphy. The library has two titles to help with that plan, "Calligraphy 101: a Workshop in a Book" by Jeaneen Gauthier and "Calligraphy in 24 Hours" by Vieko Kespersaks which would provide the necessary lessons.
