With more homebound consumers making breakfast a standard part of their morning routine, Kind is attempting to grab a bigger portion of the meal with its first frozen snack offering aimed at the category.
The self-described healthy snacking company said its new Kind Frozen Smoothie Bowls contain plant-based, nutrient-dense ingredients that are a better-for-you alternative in a frozen food breakfast aisle dominated by refined flours and animal proteins. Kind s goal is to bring to the fast-growing $3.7 billion frozen breakfast category the same disruption it brought to bars 15 years ago.
The smoothie bowl marks the latest development in a period of rapid of expansion for Kind, which last year was purchased by Mars for a price tag valuing it at more than $5 billion. Mars took a minority stake in Kind in 2017.

Polar Seltzer‘s latest flavor dropped on Monday, but fans might need some extra luck tracking it down.
In celebration of its 100th recipe, the Worcester-based company released “100” on March 8, a bubbly bottle containing notes of citrus and strawberry. The seltzer’s trademark label was swapped for a simple blue and white design featuring a polar bear above the words “No. 100 Polar Seltzer,” and a message to “keep shooting for the stars.” Another surprise? It glows in the dark: When placed somewhere void of light, the label reveals a starry design and the Ursa Major constellation, a nod to its bear mascot and company’s namesake, Polaris.

Seven Three Distilling Co., which came to the rescue during quarantine with its made in-house hand sanitizer, is once again satisfying the needs of locals with the recent release of its Irish Channel Whiskey. While this is the third release of the whiskey, it is the first release since December 2019 thanks to a supply chain delay during the pandemic. The Irish American whiskey blend is aged in French oak cognac barrels, and the distillery has released eight barrels worth of the brown liquor. Grab a bottle at the distillery or at grocery stores.
