Globally, countries, including Uganda, are in high gear organising several activities building up to the United Nations Food Systems Summit 2021 (UNFSS), which will be convened by the United Nations Secretary General António Guterres as part of the UN Decade of Action to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (17 SDGs) by 2030.
Preceded by a gathering in Italy in July 2021, the culminating summit will take place in New York, in September 2021 in conjunction with the United Nations General Assembly under the theme: “Transforming food systems is crucial for delivering all the Sustainable Development Goals.”
