At least 28 deaths are being blamed on the storm, but that number is expected to climb sharply in the coming days. Houstons Fire Department is beginning a blockbyblock search of thousands of flooded homes today. And 1,000 pets this week. Nearly 100,000 homes destroyed and that number is likely to rise and perhaps dramatically.
