Studio Edwards design company brought the Vision Studio flagship store to life in a Glen Waverley suburb shopping center located in Melbourne, Australia. 3.6-meter-high perforated aluminum facade hinges conceal the store. When opened, the facade reveals a jewel-like eyewear store reminiscent of an art gallery. Display space for 200 spectacles and storage for an additional 800 pairs and three consultation rooms await clients on the inside. The floor plan is split into two zones, where the consulting spaces take up residence at the rear, and the showcasing space is stationed at the front. Studio Edwards opted for a contrasting design using industrial materials like aluminum and concrete, paired with marle surfaces and translucent pastel shelving. Together, the materials create an elegant yet welcoming space.

Chamber announces four awards in first Entrepreneur Pitch Competition DANVILLE, Va. — The Danville-Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce has awarded four businesses a total of $50,000 to open or expand their businesses in Danville and Pittsylvania County.  Rev Up Danville Pittsylvania was built on the River District Association’s (RDA) Dream Launch Program, in partnership with the Dan River Region Entrepreneur Ecosystem (DRREE). Dream Launch is a multi-phase entrepreneur engagement program including a five-week boot camp, offered to the public at no cost. Those interested in locating or expanding their business in Pittsylvania County or in the City of Danville, outside of the River District, attended the Dream Launch boot camp, and participants who completed the boot camp were eligible to pitch for Rev Up grant funding.
