For some homeowners in san jose. Good evening, im juliette goodrich. It erupted just before 3 00 in the east foothills. And you can see from video shot by a viewer how Dangerous Things were at one point. Thats cal fire helicopter that was brought in to douse the flames. You can see the smoke filling the neighborhood. About a dozen homes were threatened, but residents were not evacuated. One homeowner told us the fire caught him offguard. There was a lot of smoke and all of a sudden, there was helicopters and a plane going overhead and dumping the orange on to the fire. It was interesting. Firefighters said the fire under control in about an hour. The cause is under investigation. Another fire in san jose displaced ten people, three dogs, and a parrot. It broke out at a duplex on jaser street. Firefighters say it started in a garage and quickly started to spread into the living areas.
