Suspect accused of beating woman unconscious found in Woodbridge Edon
A man accused of beating a woman unconscious in Woodbridge is now behind bars.
Police were patrolling the parking lot of the Woodbridge Virginia Railway Express station, located at 1040 Express Way in the Belmont Bay area, when they found a suspect wanted in connection to the assault that occurred in the parking lot of the nearby Marumsco Plaza located at 13901 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge on December 12.
While at the VRE station, officers saw a suspicious vehicle and stopped the driver. Officers identified the vehicle’s occupant as to the suspect from the assault, and took him into custody without incident, said a Prince William police spokesman.
A new mixed-use development featuring dining, stores and 900 apartments is on its way to North Woodbridge, according to developer IDI Group.
The $380 million North Woodbridge Town Center project comes just over a year after the Prince William Board of County Supervisors approved a small-area plan meant to draw a mixed-use âtown centerâ to the area.
