Two soldiers at Fort Benning died and another three were injured after a “weather-related” incident in Georgia on Tuesday, according to a spokesperson for the Army.
Two Army soldiers stationed at Fort Benning were killed and three others were injured in a weather-related incident on Georgia's Yonah Mountain while taking part in a training program.
The deaths occurred as north Georgia came under a severe thunderstorm warning. Three others service members were treated by Army medics and taken to a hospital.

An Army spokesperson said that the deceased soldiers, whose names have not yet been released, were at Yonah Mountain for a training program at the Maneuver Center of Excellence.
The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the mountain range, predicting the possibility of hail and gusts of 60 miles per hour.
