A trio of kebab shop workers who left a suspected burglar with a broken cheek, eye, jaw and arm after accusing him of targeting their restaurant have been jailed.
Zafar Ahmed, 35, alongside brothers Asmat Khan, 33, and Mohammed Khan, 25, were each handed two-year sentences after the incident at Victoria Kebabs in Nottingham on June 12 last year.
Asmat Khan had approached Adrian Perry while he was standing outside the kebab shop and believed he was involved in a break-in at the premises earlier in the day.
Eventually the trio dragged Mr Perry into the shop where he was beaten after the security shutters had been closed.

The Sukkur Institution of Business Administration (IBA Sukkur) is set to conduct tests in the second week of August for the recruitment of 46,500 schoolteachers.
Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said this on Friday while presiding over a meeting held at the office of the school education secretary.
So far the school education and literacy department has received five hundred thousand applications for the recruitment of 46,500 primary schoolteachers (PSTs) and junior elementary schoolteachers (JESTs).
The meeting discussed the test procedure for the recruitment of teachers, installation of CCTV at the test centres, and biometric attendance of candidates. “The IBA Sukkur has been directed to conduct a transparent recruitment test and ensure the installation of CCTV cameras at examination centres. We hope that the newly recruited teachers would uplift the quality of education in the province,” said Ghani.

The initial use of monoclonal antibody cocktail, the combination of drugs used on former US President Donald Trump and given emergency use approval in India in early May, has given encouraging results, with doctors involved touting it as the “first real treatment for Covid-19”.
Eight-four-year-old Mohabbat Singh, a resident of Haryana, was the first patient in India to be administered the antibody drug cocktail at Medanta Medicity, Gurugram, on May 25. The doctor treating him, Sushila Kataria, told ET, “the patient has tested negative. We have administered the drug cocktail to 15 patients so far. All are fine. This is the first real treatment for Covid-19 and can go a long way in reducing mortality especially in elderly patients and those who are immunocompromised.”
