Local Entrepreneur Reignites the Fire in Oceanside, California With Firehouse Subs Opening December 15, 2020 · · Firehouse Subs Franchisee Tony Siano has opened the doors to his Oceanside restaurant at 2619 Vista Way in Suite B1. The Oceanside Firehouse Subs originally opened in March 2012, and marked the brand’s first venture into California. When the restaurant closed in April, Siano was determined to reopen the doors and bring his extensive hospitality industry leadership to this location. He has four decades of experience in the restaurant industry, and has been an entrepreneur since 2004. This is Siano’s third Firehouse Subs restaurant after opening his first location in Laguna Woods in 2014, and acquiring the Costa Mesa restaurant in 2016.

Hamilton paramedics to add bike unit to response team in 2021 © Lisa Polewski / 900 CHML The Hamilton Paramedic Service (HPS) will add a bike unit to its rapid response team in the spring of 2021, according to the city. The unit is expected to provide care in difficult-to-reach areas of Hamilton prior to the arrival of emergency vehicles. Large community events, as well as in wooded areas along the city s many trails, are where the units will be deployed. Currently, the HPS has 66 emergency vehicles operating out of 20 stations with 350 front-line paramedics. A $20,000 grant from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada will provide a kickstart for the new bike unit, according to the HPS.
