Astronaut to headline Logistics UK conference To help identify where space-age inspiration could provide solutions for 21st century challenges, Major Tim Peake CMG will be the keynote speaker at Logistics UK’s Future Logistics Conference at the Innovation & Technology in Transport Hub (ITT Hub). The event is to be held at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre on 30 June and 1 July 2021, and Peake – the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station (ISS) – will be kicking off the free, two-day conference with a session challenging the way that logistics, public transport and technology operates, both now and in the future.

Team GB sailors at the virtual RYA Dinghy Show © RYA Thousands of sailors from across the globe tuned in for the 2021 RYA Dinghy Show presented by Suzuki which was held this weekend (27-28 February) virtually for the very first time. If you have registered for the show, you can now watch all the talks back on demand. RYA Director of Sport Development Rob Clark said We re delighted that over 8,000 people registered for the show with more than 12,000 logins in total throughout the weekend. It was fantastic to see such great engagement with both the speakers and exhibitors and for the Dinghy Show content to be accessible to so many sailors all over the world. There is definitely a real buzz to get back on the water when we are able to!

Farnborough International s Michael Watton to take early retirement

Watton has played an important role in the transformation of Farnborough International having been part of the planning, opening and subsequent operation of its new £30m events venue. Watton built a strong team around him, made up of experienced event professionals who have worked to establish the event, venue and filming side of our business nationally and internationally. Watton is a well-respected member of the executive team whose counsel was sought by staff throughout the business.
